Police claimed to have arrested four facilitators of the armed robbery at the home of Senior Police Officer (SSP) Touheed Rehman and Sindh Government Spokesperson Aqarba Fatima at Defence in Karachi, reported the 24 NewsHD TV channel.
The crime took place a few days ago and police claim they have geared up their effort to bring to book the culprits.
The police made the arrest after taking lead from CCTV footage, also available with the channel. According to police, hunt for the three more suspects is on.
The vehicle used in the crime has also been seized, investigators said, adding that the vehicle was rented and the lawmen prepared a detailed route map to nail the culprits.
Reportedly, the gunman of SSP was asleep at the time of robbery.
According to Police sources, assailants were looted more than Rs20 million after holding hostage SSP and his spouse a few days ago. Police have registered a case under Section 395 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
