Establishment Division notifies transfers and postings in federal bureaucracy

The Establishment Division has notified appointments and transfers within the federal bureaucracy. Asif Khan, a Grade-20 Foreign Service officer currently posted at Pakistan’s Mission to the United Nations in New York, has been appointed as Joint Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office. 

He has been appointed on deputation for a period of three years. Meanwhile, the services of Salman Sharif, the outgoing Joint Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, have been returned to the Foreign Office.

Arif Karim, a Grade-20 officer of the Secretariat Group currently awaiting posting, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Economic Affairs Division; the previous notification regarding his posting as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Climate Change has been cancelled. 

Farhan Zahid, a Grade-20 officer of the Police Service awaiting posting, has been posted to the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan. The deputation of Dr. Madiha Ghouri—a dental surgeon from Balochistan posted at Polyclinic Islamabad—has been extended by two years. 

The services of Khairullah, a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa officer serving on deputation at the Ministry of Climate Change, have been repatriated. The notification regarding the retirement of Mahmood-ul-Hassan—a Grade 18 Police Service officer posted in Sindh—effective December 30, 2026, has been cancelled. A notification has been issued regarding the retirement of Asim Ali Bhutto—a Grade 18 Police Service officer posted in Sindh—effective March 31, 2026. 

Ghulam Mustafa Vahocho, a Grade 20 officer of the Secretariat Group awaiting posting, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Commerce Division. 

Farwa Batool, a Grade-18 OSD, has been appointed as Section Officer in the Establishment Division. Anam Gulzar Mir, a Grade-18 OMG officer awaiting posting, has been suspended. Aqsa Habib Abbasi, a Computer Instructor in the Azad Kashmir Education Department, has been appointed as Assistant Director in the Benazir Income Support Programme. Rafiq Ahmed Khokhar, a Grade-18 OMG OSD, has been granted ex-Pakistan leave from August 27 to October 30, 2026. 

The Establishment Division has issued formal notifications regarding these appointments and transfers.
