Lahore High Court (LHC) has released the judges roster after the end of summer vacations for a period starting from September 7 to October 31 to hear cases at the principal seat and its regional benches, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to the roster issued by the Additional Registrar Judicial with the approval of the Chief Justice, 11 division benches and 28 single benches have been formed at the principal seat in Lahore.
The first division bench, headed by the Chief Justice, will hear all cases. Justice Abhar Gul Khan will sit with the Chief Justice on Monday and Tuesday, while Justice Muhammad Amjad Parvez will join him on Wednesday and Thursday.
The second division bench with Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Munawar Iqbal Dogar, will hear tax, commercial cases and Intra Court Appeals (ICAs).
The third division bench with Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi and Justice Khalid Ibne Aziz, will hear NAB cases and anti-terrorism appeals.
The fourth division bench with Justice Faisal Zaman Khan and Justice Asad Ali Bajwa, will hear civil cases and appeals, while the fifth division bench will have Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry and Justice Sardar Akbar Ali.
The sixth division bench, with Justice Farooq Haider and Justice Sadiq Mehmood Khurram, will hear drug bail cases and murder references.
The seventh division bench, with Justice Ahmed Nadeem Arshad and Justice Shireen Imran, will hear civil cases, while the eighth division bench, with Justice Hassan Nawaz Makhdoom and Justice Ajmal Khan Zahid, will hear tax and banking cases.
The ninth division bench will have Justice Waqar Haider Awan and Justice Malik Javed Iqbal Vance and the 10th division bench, with Justice Jawad Zafar and Justice Ameer Ajam Malik, will hear narcotics cases.
The 11th division bench will have Justice Khalid Ishaq and Justice Usman Ghani Rashid Cheema.
The judges included in the division benches will also hear cases as single benches.
