Noted Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji is set to commence shooting for Mardaani 3 in June this year, Mid-Day reports.
Rani has always impressed audiences with her powerful performances, and her portrayal of a fearless cop in the Mardaani franchise has been a career-defining role. Following the success of the first two films, which left a lasting impact on viewers, the much-awaited third installment is now in the pipeline.
The film is currently in its final pre-production phase, with the script undergoing fine-tuning. The production team is also in the process of casting the main antagonist, ensuring a formidable opponent for Rani’s character. Major shooting locations have already been secured, with Mumbai and Delhi serving as primary filming hubs. Additional locations across India will be finalized in the coming weeks.
Last year, Rani expressed her enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the importance of delivering an elevated cinematic experience with Mardaani 3, saying: "When we set out to make Mardaani 3, we were hoping to find a script that would take the experience of watching a Mardaani franchise film to the next level. I am really excited about what we have at hand, and I can only hope that the audience feels the same after watching Mardaani 3 in theaters!"
She added: "The Mardaani franchise is extremely loved, and we have a certain responsibility to meet the expectations of our audience. We will do our best to live up to this.
