Police said on Wednesday that a local trader was killed when he resisted a robbery bid in Sarjani Town Area of Karachi.
The deceased is named as Muhammad Amin and according to the police, he was coming back from a bank when he had an encounter with a gang of gunmen who killed him over resistance.
Traders and businessmen have raised their concerns on the surge in robberies calling for stepped-up security. They made an appeal to the high-ups to take notice of the matter and provide them with proper security cover. They blamed the surge in street crimes on police.
