Harry Styles has sparked a furious backlash from his own fanbase after revealing concert ticket prices that climb close to $1,000, prompting threats of boycotts and accusations of greed.
The 31-year-old singer announced last week that he will return to the stage with a massive seven-city global residency titled Together, Together.
The run includes 50 shows across Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York City, Melbourne and Sydney, stretching from May through December 2026. A major highlight is his 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden.
While excitement initially surged when the dates were unveiled, that enthusiasm quickly curdled into outrage on Monday morning when ticket sales opened for the Amsterdam and London shows and prices were finally revealed.
Although US ticket prices have not yet been announced, fans in Europe were stunned by the costs. In London, tickets range from £72.95, roughly $99.67, all the way up to £725.45, nearly $1,000. Amsterdam prices fall between €74.05, about $87.79, and €828.62, which converts to roughly $982.38.
Many longtime fans pointed out the sharp contrast with Styles’s earlier tours. His 2022 Madison Square Garden residency had tickets priced between $39.50 and $199.50, while his sold-out Wembley Stadium shows that same year ranged from just £45 to £99.
Social media quickly filled with angry reactions, with fans accusing the singer of exploiting demand. One user raged, "I love Harry but the prices for this tour are an actual abomination, taking the utter p**s out of regular people who just want to see his show."
Another compared him unfavorably to other megastars, writing, "Harry's prices are absolutely out of this world there isn't ONE ticket that is worth the amount of money you spend on it. Even Taylor [Swift] was way more affordable than him."
Others lamented the broader state of live entertainment. "I hate that live music has literally become a privilege that only rich people can access."
One fan accused the star of deliberately cashing in, saying, "To be honest, Harry's ticket prices are so disappointing. They're only asking those insane prices because they know people will pay no matter what, not because they actually need the money."
Another added bluntly, "Harry could've gone against the increase, but didn't. This is also on him."
Some reactions were visceral. "Harry's prices make me feel f**king sick. That's not okay," one post read. Another declared, "What are these prices? This is GREED!"
A different fan wrote, "Those prices are f**king insane, I am fully judging Harry for approving this," while another shared their breaking point: "Got through the Harry queue and prices are like £292. Absolutely diabolical. No chance I'm paying that sadly."
Much of the anger has focused on the tour’s VIP offerings, which are the most expensive options. The top-tier Together Package costs £725.45 in London and €828.62 in Amsterdam. It includes a general admission floor ticket in one of the pits, early venue entry with priority floor access, scheduled fast-pass entry to the pop-up shop, a Together VIP laminate, access to an exclusive pre-show VIP lounge with light appetizers and one drink token for specialty cocktails or mocktails, a gift pack with exclusive merchandise, a photo opportunity in front of the VIP backdrop, and access to the on-site VIP concierge team.
The mid-level KISS Package, priced at £468.45 or €533.62, includes most of the same perks but excludes lounge access. The lower-tier DISCO Package costs £333.45 or €348.62 and removes both the lounge and the pop-up shop fast pass.
The controversy comes just days after Styles thrilled fans by releasing his new single Aperture. His upcoming album, KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY, is set to drop on Friday, March 6.
The former One Direction star will launch the tour in Amsterdam on May 16 and conclude the marathon run in Sydney on December 13. Throughout the residency, he will be joined by a rotating lineup of special guests including Robyn, Shania Twain, Fcukers, Jorja Smith, Jamie xx, Fousheé and Skye Newman.
