PSL retains 11 players in Diamond and 31 in Gold categories ahead of February auction

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has renewed contracts for 11 players in the Diamond category and 31 players in the Gold category ahead of its 11th season player auction, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.

The auction is scheduled for February 11, 2026, ahead of the tournament set to begin on March 26.

In the Diamond category, Karachi Kings retained Abbas Afridi and Shan Masood, while Lahore Qalandars kept Abdullah Shafiq and Mohammad Salman Mirza. Peshawar Zalmi’s Sufyan Muqeem also secured his place, alongside Multan Sultans’ Osama Mir, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Usman Khan. Quetta Gladiators retained Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Wasim Junior, and Usman Tariq.

The Diamond category represents the highest tier of retention, allowing franchises to secure marquee players before the auction.

Meanwhile, the Gold category renewals included key performers from all six franchises.

 Islamabad United retained Azam Khan, Haider Ali, Salman Arshad, and Roman Raees. Lahore Qalandars kept Zaman Khan, Jahandad Khan, Asif Ali, and Asif Afridi.

 Karachi Kings retained Khushdil Shah, Aamer Jamal, Irfan Khan Niazi, Mir Hamza, Zahid Mahmood, Umair Bin Yousuf, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Irfan Minhas.

Multan Sultans retained Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hasnain, Faisal Akram, and Akif Javed. Peshawar Zalmi secured Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Ali, Abdul Samad, Hussain Talat, Sufyan Muqeem, Ahmed Daniyal, and Ehsanullah, while Quetta Gladiators retained Khurram Shehzad, Haseebullah Khawaja, Mohammad Nafay, and Hasan Nawaz.
