Two policemen were suspended for showing inefficiency and negligence during duty hours in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
A first information report (FIR) was filed against the two policemen in the Defence Section C Police Station in Lahore
According to the FIR, both policemen were found absent from their duty at a sensitive location. During the initial investigation, it was revealed that both policemen were in contact with drug dealers and other criminals.
The FOR was registered against Constable Sajid Ali and Kamran for violating Section 155-C.
Earlier, Lahore police dismissed eight policemen from service for serious misconduct, while three others were issued final warnings.
According to the report, a disciplinary hearing was held at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh in Lahore, where decisions were announced on 11 pending show-cause notices.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, who chaired the hearing, made it clear that there will be no compromise on discipline within Lahore Police. “Corruption, negligence, or misbehaviour—regardless of rank—will not be tolerated,” he asserted.
