California-based model Nyla Caselli has stunned social media by revealing that she unknowingly dated a CIA agent who showered her with luxury gifts, including a $10,000-a-month penthouse and a $250,000 emergency bank account.
In an exclusive with Daily Mail Australia, the 23-year-old described her whirlwind romance as a “Pretty Woman moment,” referring to the mystery man only as James. The two met by chance at an airport, just a week after Nyla ended a relationship with a cheating ex.
“James stopped me and told me how beautiful I was, and invited me out for dinner,” she recalled.
What followed was a year-long fairy tale. From surprise shopping sprees and Chanel bags to international trips and cosmetic surgery funded by James, Nyla said it felt like ‘living in a movie’.
“He transferred $40,000 into my account just because he missed me,” she said.
“He loved spending money on me, and I didn’t need answers. It was a win-win.”
James’ true identity was revealed just three months into their relationship.
“One night over dinner, he casually said, ‘I work for the CIA, that’s why I can’t post photos or stay in one place too long,’” Nyla shared.
Though shocked at first, she said the pieces suddenly clicked. James carried an encrypted phone, had bodyguards, private drivers, and did security checks before entering hotels.
“It made sense. I never had to worry about anything when I was with him,” she added.
Their romance took them across the globe – Los Angeles, Morocco, Switzerland – until James was reassigned overseas, bringing their storybook affair to an end.
Now reflecting on the relationship, Nyla says she remembers James fondly.
“He liked it when I looked good and felt confident. He’d always say, ‘Send me the invoice.’”
Though their paths diverged, she says his presence left a lasting impact on her self-esteem.
“There were always two sides to our trips, the romance and the sense that something bigger was happening. It was exciting.”
