Lahore-Faisalabad train service suspended due to damaged bridge

Railway authorities have temporarily suspended train services between Lahore and Faisalabad after a bridge was badly damaged between Sheikhupura and Misan Kalar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

After the suspension of railway traffic, Badr Express and Ghouri Express were cancelled, while Shalimar Express and Karakorum Express will be operated through Raiwind-Sahiwal route.

Sources said that Mianwali Express will be operated via Lalamusa. The train is being run between Lahore and Mianwali.

On July 26, 2026, at least seven people, including two children, were killed and 20 others injured in rain-related incidents across Punjab during the last 24 hours, while downpour also damaged houses and killed livestock, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority.
