Polling was suspended after a fire broke out at polling station number 161 BHU of Bhimber-2 Darbar Baba Shadi Shaheed in Azad Kashmir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
About 230 votes had been cast at the polling station before the incident.
The fire-fighters brought the blaze under control after intense efforts which led to the resumption of voting later.
According to initial reports, the situation deteriorated after tension between the workers of two political parties.
A tough contest was going on between IPP candidate Ali Shan Soni and PML-N’s Chaudhry Muhammad Razaq.
Polling was also reported to be affected in Rael and Pilan after alleged clashes.
Police and administration reached the spot and efforts are underway to control the situation.
