Pakistan's national hockey team for the upcoming Hockey World Cup will be announced immediately after the four-match Test series against South Korea, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.
According to sources, Pakistan and South Korea will play a four-match Test series from July 30 to August 7, which will serve as the final selection trial ahead of the World Cup.
The team management and selection committee are keen to evaluate every player's match performance, physical condition, and overall fitness before naming the final squad.
Sources said all players shortlisted for the South Korea series will be allowed to prove their credentials, allowing selectors to make informed decisions ahead of the global event.
The national side is expected to undergo three to four changes from the squad that featured in the FIH Pro League.
Forward Hannan Shahid, Imad Shakeel Butt, and penalty-corner specialist Sufyan Khan are likely to return to the team after being left out previously.
