A man has been arrested in Lahore for impersonating a police officer in a TikTok video and uploading the content online, 24NewsHDTV channel reported Friday.
The accused, identified as Adnan Ali, was seen wearing a fake police uniform and was also reportedly involved in aerial firing while brandishing an illegal weapon in the video, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
Taking immediate notice of the video, SP Cantt Capt (R) Qazi Ali Raza directed the Batapur police to apprehend the individual.
A first information report (FIR) was promptly registered against Adnan Ali for unlawful display of a weapon and for impersonating a law enforcement officer.
SP Qazi Ali Raza stated that the Lahore police maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards such acts, especially those involving the display of weapons and aerial firing.
The accused has been handed over to the investigation department for further legal proceedings.
