Dr Nasir Jamal Khattak has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Muzaffarabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday, quoting its sources.
The appointment was made following the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood’s formal approval.
According to the sources, a total of three candidates were submitted by the university syndicate to the President, which included Professor Dr Nasir Jamal, Professor Dr Ayesha Sohail, and Dr Muhammad Khan.
President Barrister Sultan Mahmood, after personally interviewing all three nominees, granted final approval for the appointment of Professor Dr. Nasir Jamal Khattak, who ranked first on merit.
The decision represents an important milestone for the University of Muzaffarabad, signaling a new phase of academic leadership and institutional progress.
