The government’s disenchantment with the media is evident from the fact that the PTI has barred private media from entering the venue (Pandal) where the party is holding its Amr Bil Maroof rally in Islamabad today (Sunday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, the administration has stopped the private media from entering the PTI rally site at Parade Ground and media vans which have arrived to cover the event have been halted at Faisal Avenue.
However, the national media has already reached the public meeting site (Pandal) for the coverage.
It is learnt that the DSNG vans have reportedly been stopped at Faisal Avenue, about 7.7km away from the Parade Ground, and prevented from advancing further.
It is worth mentioning here that the ruling PTI is holding a big public gathering titled ‘Amr Bil Maroof Jalsa’ in Islamabad to show its political might and popularity in the masses ahead of the voting on no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
