A 12-year-old girl named Arfa tragically lost her life on the spot during a heavy exchange of gunfire between robbers and a citizen in Karachi, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to rescue sources, the incident took place in Sector No. 4, Korangi C, when a group of armed assailants attempted to snatch a motorcycle from a local citizen.
In an act of self-defence, the citizen opened fire on the suspects using a licensed weapon, which led to a violent shootout.
Unfortunately, during the gunfire, the young girl Arfa was fatally struck and died at the scene.
Following the tragic event, residents of the area staged a protest, placing the girl’s body on the road to demand immediate action from authorities.
The Rescue 1122 team later arrived and transported Arfa’s body to Jinnah Hospital, Karachi.
The protesters called upon relevant officials to arrest the culprits at the earliest and to ensure justice for the innocent child.
