KP CM launches Roshan Mustaqbil, Sahara cards for orphans and widows

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Monday launched two new welfare programmes – Roshan Mustaqbil Card for orphaned children and Sahara Card for widows, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

The official event was held at the Chief Minister's House in Peshawar on Monday.

The Chief Minister distributed the Roshan Mustaqbil Cards to orphans and the Sahara Cards to widows.

Speaking on the occasion, Gandapur said that orphans aged 5 to 16 will get a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000. Initially, 9,000 children will benefit from the Roshan Mustaqbil Card programme. The beneficiaries will receive a double payment of Rs10,000 for both May and June due to the Eid-ul-Adha. 

Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Syed Qasim Ali Shah, MPAs, government officials and various other guests were present at the event.
