Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with troops deployed at forward positions along the western border in Zhob, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief offered Eid prayers with officers and soldiers, followed by special prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity in Pakistan as well as for security personnel who lost their lives defending the country.

During the visit, Asim Munir extended Eid greetings to troops and praised their morale, operational preparedness, and continued vigilance against what the military described as foreign-backed terrorism.

He commended the sacrifices and commitment of security forces in protecting the country from militant threats and hostile elements.

The army chief also condemned the recent attack in Quetta, calling it a “cowardly terrorist act” carried out by what he described as “Indian-backed Fitna al-Hindustan and its networks.”

He said such attacks could neither weaken the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces nor undermine the determination of the nation.

Asim Munir reiterated that operations against militants and their facilitators would continue with full force across the country.
