A bull brought for Eid-ul-Adha sacrifice in Murree fell into a ravine after climbing onto the roof of a house and had to be slaughtered on the spot after suffering serious injuries, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in the Palak area of Circle Bakote in Murree, where the sacrificial animal had been brought for Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
According to residents, the bull became uncontrollable shortly after being unloaded from a vehicle and ran onto the roof of a nearby house. They said the rooftop had no protective barrier, causing the animal to lose balance and plunge into a deep ravine.
Residents said the bull was critically injured in the fall and was slaughtered at the site due to its condition.
Eid-ul-Adha is being observed across Pakistan with religious devotion, with Muslims offering animal sacrifices in remembrance of the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son in obedience to God’s command.
