Multan police Saturday night arrested a little bride with father and groom against the charges of minor girl’s wedding.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the New Multan police station had received a complaint about the minor girl’s wedding who was just 12 years old.
The police were informed that her Nikkah was already recited some days ago and now on Saturday, a wedding ceremony was being held in the area of New Multan.
The police raided the spot and arrested the accused persons red-handed.
But, the Nikahkhawaan (Islamic religious leader) who had recited the Nikah succeeded to flee from the ceremony.
The police have launched a search operation to arrest the Nikahkhawaan.
