Strict security arrangements have been made around the Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi as four police pickets have been set up keeping in view of the fact that today is Thursday, and it is on Thursdays that former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan meets with his family members and lawyers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Today’s meetings have assumed special significance given the fact that yesterday, rumours were doing rounds on social media that the former prime minister had died.
KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is expected to visit jail today as his name is on the top of the list of those wishing to meet Imran.
Yesterday, PTI leader Salman Akram Raja had handed to the jail authorities a list of the people who wanted to meet the party founder.
Police have set up pickets at Dahgal Nake, Koraghpur, factory nake and gate number 5.
People are being allowed to enter jail only after strict checking.
