Federal Health Ministry has finalised a schedule for a 12-day measles and rubella vaccination campaign across the country starting November 17 to protect children aged six months to five years.
Parents have been urged to ensure their children receive the vaccine to safeguard them from life-threatening diseases.
The relevant federal agencies will coordinate with the provinces for the campaign, sources from the Ministry of Health said.
Fixed centers and mobile teams will participate in the vaccination campaign.
The measles-rubella campaign will be conducted simultaneously in urban and rural areas. The process of training vaccination teams is ongoing and will be completed on time.
A total of 822,766 children will be vaccinated during the campaign, which will be conducted simultaneously in urban and rural areas.
For this purpose, 217 fixed vaccination centres and 486 mobile teams have been constituted, and team training is underway.
