Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said on Saturday his government did not support the ongoing military operations in the province.

Speaking at a political rally under the aegis of the battled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of the jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, Gandapur said, “I welcome you to the rally of the PTI founder. PTI founder’s fight is for true freedom.”

He called upon the judiciary to make decisions according to the law, adding that every Pakistani was duty-bound to uphold the constitution. He said, “We raised our voice for the constitution and we were picked up.”

Gandapur said Imran Khan made it clear during the Pakistan-India war in May this year that the entire nation stood together. He said he should be allowed to meet Imran Khan, who has been incarcerated since August 5, 2023, in Adiala Jail.

During the rally, some people raise slogans against Gandapur and threw bottles as they made noise with “No”, “No”. However, Gandapur continued his speech despite all this noise. Also, some unruly workers entered the women's venue during the rally. The police failed to stop them, after which the women left the venue.
