The Pakistan women’s cricket team underwent an intensive training session on Saturday in Colombo as they geared up for their second warm-up match against South Africa ahead of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Under the supervision of head coach Mohammad Wasim, the squad trained for three hours at the Colombo Cricket Stadium, focusing on all aspects of their game in preparation for the global event.
The session began with physical fitness drills to ensure players were in peak condition before transitioning into specialized cricket practice.
Batters concentrated on power-hitting and improving running between the wickets, aimed at enhancing their ability to rotate strike and build partnerships.
Bowlers and fielders, meanwhile, received close guidance from the coaching staff to sharpen their techniques and elevate consistency.
Pakistan will open their ICC Women’s World Cup campaign on October 2 against Bangladesh, a match seen as crucial for building early momentum.
