The Lahore Marathon 2026 witnessed fierce competition across 10km, 21km and 42km races, with Muhammad Zain, Farhat Batool and Israr Muhammad emerging as the top winners in their respective categories, reported the 24News HD TV channel on Sunday.
Organized through a collaboration between the Athletics Federation of Pakistan and Allied Bank, the Lahore Marathon featured races across three distances, with runners competing in both men’s and women’s categories.
In the 10-kilometre men’s race, Kasur’s Muhammad Zain secured first position. Faisalabad’s Muhammad Zohaib finished second, while Saim Masih, also from Faisalabad, took third place.
In the women’s 10-kilometre race, 38-year-old Farhat Batool claimed first position. She completed the distance in 42 minutes and 50 seconds.
The 21-kilometre half marathon saw Pakistan Army and Sahiwal’s Akhtar Ali take first position in the men’s race. Sohail Amir finished second.
In the women’s 21-kilometre half marathon, Gonish Batool secured first position after completing the distance in one hour, 40 minutes and nine seconds. Mahnoor finished second.
The 42-kilometre marathon was won by Israr Muhammad from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He completed the full distance in two hours, 38 minutes and 10 seconds.
Muhammad Ramzan finished second in the 42-kilometre marathon.
