The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced new facilities on the Pak Hajj App, allowing pilgrims to make important changes to their Hajj arrangements from home.
Under the new features, pilgrims can modify their accommodation and choose between two-bed, three-bed, family-room and sharing options through the app.
The app will also allow pilgrims to change their Hajj package duration, including switching from the long package to the short package or from the short package to the long package.
Another facility has been introduced for medical fitness certificates. Pilgrims can print the certificate through the app and get it verified by an authorised doctor. After verification, the certificate must be uploaded again on the Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal.
Overseas Pakistanis can also obtain their medical fitness certificates from doctors near their place of residence and upload the verified certificates through the app.
Successful Hajj applicants will also be able to apply for a Mahram or helper under the hardship quota through the digital platform.
The ministry has further introduced a cancellation and refund facility for pilgrims who are unable to proceed with their Hajj application due to unavoidable circumstances.
