The Sindh government on Tuesday put a ban on all kinds of congregations and rallies across the province including Youm-e-Ali (RA) congregations.
The Sindh Home Department issued the notification in this regard, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The notification said that all kinds of religious congregations including majalis and congregations of Youm-e-Ali (RA) while large gatherings on Khatum-e-Quran and Shabina gatherings are also put on hold and banned across the province.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah addressing a press conference said that the coronavirus infection rate in the province has gone down from 12 percent to 8.15 percent (among the tested persons).
He said this was something encouraging but people have to take care of themselves and of their families and other citizens.
“So far 963 people have been recovered and the recovery rate is 18.2 percent,” the chief minister said.
Spokesperson Sindh government Murtaza Wahab said there are 5,291 positive COVID-19 cases (new 335) in the province and 92 deaths reported.
