The extremist who attacked the Pakistani High Commission in London over the weekend has been identified as Ankit Lowe, a 41-year-old of Indian origin, exposing yet another dark chapter of India’s diplomatic aggression abroad.
According to a spokesperson for the Kingston and Chelsea division of the Metropolitan Police, Lowe — whose address remains unknown — was formally charged with criminal damage following the attack on Sunday, April 27.
The violent incident unfolded around 5:00 a.m., when police were summoned to the scene after reports emerged of a man smashing windows at the High Commission building on Lowndes Square.
Police confirmed that Lowe, born on August 7, 1983, was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, April 28.
The attack has reignited international concerns over what many are calling India’s pattern of diplomatic terrorism, especially following recent allegations of extrajudicial killings and violent operations targeting dissenters abroad.
