The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has launched its online admissions portal for the academic year 2026–2027, marking a significant step toward digitising the admissions process in federal government educational institutions.
According to officials, the portal is now fully active and open to the public, enabling students and parents to access comprehensive admission-related information from the comfort of their homes.
The new system allows users to check the availability of seats in their desired institutions in real time, while also providing easy access to merit lists across various schools and categories. It further enables families to select institutions based on key facilities such as transport, food services, and Early Childhood Education (ECE) centres.
In addition, the portal offers detailed information about morning and evening shifts, as well as matriculation programs, ensuring that applicants have all necessary details available on a single platform.
FDE officials said the initiative aims to enhance transparency and streamline the admission process through a digital system designed for convenience and efficiency.
Describing it as an important step, the directorate emphasised that the platform will help ensure equal access to quality education by providing complete guidance and essential information to all applicants in a user-friendly manner.
