The federal government has initiated a comprehensive exercise to collect data on civil servants holding dual nationality in a move aimed at placing detailed records before a parliamentary panel, 24NeHD TV reported on Tuesday.
The government has begun gathering information on officers in Grade 17 and above, seeking full particulars including names, parentage, national identity card numbers, service group, ex-cadre status, current department, and present postings.
According to official sources, the exercise also required disclosure of officers’ current pay scale and the date on which they acquired citizenship of any country other than Pakistan.
The data is being compiled for submission to the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet, which had sought detailed information regarding dual nationality among government officials.
