The Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department Punjab will launch five new vehicle registration number series for cars next month, offering motorists new opportunities to secure preferred and premium number plates, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
According to officials, vehicle owners will be able to purchase their desired registration numbers from the newly introduced series, with high-end or “fancy” numbers to be made available through an e-auction system.
The initiative aims to streamline registration while catering to strong public demand for customized and luxury number plates, which often attract significant interest in major cities.
