British High Commissioner Jane Marriott met Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed a variety of issues with him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, discussions were focused on enhancing Pak-UK relations and bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Discussions were also held on enhancing cooperation in counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, border security and human trafficking.
Jane Marriott congratulated Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on receiving the Nishan-e-Imtiaz and expressed best wishes for him.
The British High Commissioner expressed grief over the loss of precious lives due to floods and rains in Pakistan and voiced heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased.
Talking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan has always been a proponent of peace, while strongly condemning all forms of terrorism.
He said Britain is an important partner of Pakistan in its journey of development. He said Pakistan want to promote bilateral cooperation with Britain in all areas of mutual interest.
