Two terrorists were killed and a policeman was injured in firefight after they ambushed a police mobile van at Hayat Road in Bannu on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The police party was on a routine patrol when they were targeted by the terrorists. But the agile cops retaliated with full fight killing two of the attackers.
In his reaction, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised Bannu police for foiling the attack and killing two terrorists.
In a statement, Mohsin Naqvi said on timely response to the attack they commend the Bannu police for neutralising two terrorists.
Mohsin Naqvi said Bannu police bravely foiled the terrorists' nefarious design. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the policeman injured in the gunbattle.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police is on the frontline in the fight against terrorism and KP police has always foiled terrorists' designs with courage. Mohsin Naqvi said.
