The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Sri Lanka, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to the channel report, the Pakistan team will depart for Sri Lanka in phases on January 4 and 5, 2026, as part of its tour preparations.

Salman Ali Agha has been appointed captain of the side for the series, while wicketkeeper-batter Khawaja Nafi has earned his maiden call-up to the T20 squad.

All-rounder Shadab Khan has made a comeback to the team after recovering from shoulder surgery, adding experience to the middle order and spin department.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play three T20 Internationals, all scheduled to be held at Dambulla on January 7, 9 and 11.

The series is seen as an important opportunity for the selectors to assess players ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The squad includes Salman Ali Agha, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Muhammad Nafi, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan and Usman Tariq.

The team management will be led by Naveed Akram Cheema as team manager, while Mike Hesson will serve as white-ball head coach. Ashley Noffke has been named bowling coach, Mohammad Hanif Malik as batting coach and Shane McDermott as fielding coach.

Cliff Deacon will act as physiotherapist, Grant Luden as strength and conditioning coach, Talha Ejaz as team analyst, Syed Naeem Ahmed as team media manager, Colonel Usman Anwari as team security manager and Dr Wajid Ali Riffat as team doctor.
