Karachi and Lahore face high pollution, rains expected from Tuesday

Lahore's air quality is getting poor as it has come to sixth place among world’s polluted cities with AQI 189 while Karachi placed fourth with AQI 179, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to Metrological Department report, the pollution rate in Lahore’s Chaman Park was 606 and in Gulberg II 553 recorded. Further, the rate in Cantt is 541 and Askari-10 is 468 recorded.

On the other hand, Karachi will experience rain from December 30. 

A series of westerly winds will affect the upper areas from December 28. 

The temperature in Karachi will reach a record 12 degrees, with a maximum of 28 degrees.

Weather in Islamabad is cold and dry with partly cloudy forecast.

Temperature in Islamabad will reach a record 7 degrees, maximum will reach 19 degrees.

Rain will occur in Islamabad from December 30 to January 2.
