Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing a decline in public popularity as hundreds of protesters staged a major demonstration against him in Tel Aviv, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to the report, the demonstrators took to the streets, voicing anger over Netanyahu’s leadership and accusing him of undermining the country’s security through his policies.

Protesters demanded the establishment of a state commission of inquiry to investigate the October 7 attack, which they say exposed serious failures in the country’s security apparatus.

Demonstrators alleged that the prime minister is deliberately trying to avoid such an investigation to escape accountability for the events of that day.

Chanting slogans and carrying placards, participants said that under Netanyahu’s policies, Israel has become increasingly unsafe, deepening public frustration and mistrust.

The protest reflects growing pressure on Netanyahu’s government, as criticism mounts over its handling of security issues and the broader political crisis gripping the country.
