Ahsan Yaseen, an 18-year-old Pakistani, bagged winning honors in the Youth Camel Race at the 54th Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Camel Racing Festival, which took place in Sharjah, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
Ahsan not only won this special award but also earned Rs 3.8 million.
In the two-kilometre race, Yaseen had a tough opening, finishing sixth.
Yet he showed his extensive expertise and determination to catch up with the others, finishing the race first with a time of 3:47 minutes.
His performance at the camel racing competition left both local and international camel racing fans impressed.
Speaking to the media, Yaseen said, ‘It is considered in camel racing that Arabs only are involved in this kind of sport, but winning this event gives me unarguable happiness.’
