After dacoits, robbers and drug smugglers, the Crime Control Department (CCD) will now also be able to take action against those looting people through online or electronic devices as the Punjab government has decided to give powers to the CCD for the purpose, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
It has been learnt that the decision has been taken in the wake of an extraordinary increase in incidents of looting innocent people, who are deprived of their lifelong savings.
Especially, salaried people and businessmen easily fall prey to such elements, who do not even spare the recipients of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
It has also been learnt that these people are also involved in short-term kidnappings, but cases are not registered against them.
These people have minted billions of rupees through such practices.
It has also been decided to attach the properties of those associated with such organized criminal gangs.
