At least two people were killed and three others injured when a passenger van collided with a roadside parked trailer near Chak 139 in Samundri, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to Rescue 1122, the van crashed into the stationary trailer due to unknown reasons, resulting in fatal injuries to two passengers identified as Adnan, son of Mukhtar, and Khalid, son of Sher Muhammad.
Three others, Ghulam Bibi, Saqlain, son of Mansha, and Bilal sustained injuries and were shifted to the THQs Hospital for medical treatment.
Rescue teams reached the scene soon after the accident and transported the bodies and injured to the hospital.
Police also arrived at the spot and initiated legal proceedings.
The trailer involved in the accident was taken into custody, while efforts are underway to trace the driver.
In a separate incident, a dumper truck crushed a motorcycle rider near Kot Hara in the Wazirabad area, killing him on the spot.
The deceased was identified as 14-year-old Haider Khan, a resident of Ali Pur Chatha.
Rescue officials said the teenager suffered severe head injuries that proved fatal.
His body was shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police have launched investigations into both incidents to determine the causes.
