During a meeting with the editors and owners of media houses, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif Monday avoided responding to the question about his much-talked-about meeting with PTI estranged leader Jehangir Khan Tareen, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The PML-N leader said that the economic circumstances were bad in the country, and added that the opposition was working day and night on ‘number game’.
“If we come to power with a majority, we will take everyone along except PTI,” he stated.
“I cannot affirm or deny my meeting with Jehangir Khan Tareen,” he said and added that he also could not give a timeframe for the no-confidence motion.
He pledged to resist PECA in the court as well as the Parliament and also claimed to have moved a requisition for convening National Assembly meeting against PECA.
“After coming to power, all laws against media will be repealed,” he assured and added that a consensus on economic policy would be a must in future whether there was a majority government or coalition government.
