Karachi is in the grip of lawlessness as the crime rate is on the rise. Three people including a teenage girl were murdered in different incidents in the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
In late last night, some unknown criminals shot dead a man in Bhains Colony near a soap factory. According to Edhi sources, the deceased was identified as Ali Nawaz and his body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
Separately, a 15-year-old girl, Madeeha was murdered by a young man near Saeedabad in Baldia Town Karachi.
Madeeha was a student of grade 9. She was in the kitchen when accused Hamza entered her house. He put the revolver on her temple and shot her dead.
According to her sister, Madeeha knew the accused. He often harassed them both on their way to school, she added.
Police arrested the accused after a search of three hours. Madeeha’s sister recognized him.

In another incident, a man was killed during a trade of fire between two groups over a property issue in Manghopir, Vingi Goth, Karachi.
According to details, in Waterboard Colony in Manghopir, a man, Sameerullah s/o Asif was shot dead by the firing of unknown people. While an old passerby, Zameen Khan, was also hit by the bullet and got injured.
Police said that the incident was a result of some land ownership dispute.
However, the victim party, Barohi family, claimed that four days ago the deceased got involved in a brawl with the accused who were promoting immoral activities in the area and Sameer asked them to stop these activities. They further alleged that the accused were influential and police were patronizing them.
In another incident, the police traded fire with some outlaws in the MPR Colony in Orangi Town during an alleged encounter. Two criminals namely Wazir and Rafiullah got injured in the firing. Police arrested them in injured condition.
Police recovered arms and a motorcycle from their possession.
In another alleged encounter, police arrested an accused who sustained bullet injuries during the shootout near Azizabad.
Police said that accused Akbar Khan alias Shimo was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment.
