Dubai Police have launched an awareness campaign called "Donate Wisely" to protect the public from fraudulent beggars and ensure that charitable donations are directed to those in genuine need at the start of Ramazan.
The police have cautioned residents not to be deceived by false stories from beggars operating near streets, mosques, and public areas.
Authorities noted that some professional beggars exploit people's generosity for personal gain.
Dubai Police encouraged the public to donate solely to registered charities and to report any suspicious begging activities without delay.
Officials stressed that responsible giving not only protects the community but also ensures that assistance reaches those who truly deserve it.
