Eight passengers died and five others critically injured on Friday when a passenger bus was overturned due to driver’s negligence on Neela Dulha Road near Motorway M-2 in Chakwal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Motorway Police the accident occurred due to carelessness of the driver of the passenger bus, belonged to Gulab Coach bus service.
Soon after the accident, Motorway police reached the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Hospital Chakwal.
15 passengers who received minor injurie were being given first-aid while three passengers were in critical condition.
Motorway Police said that a crane already reached at the site of accident to bring the vehicle on its original shape and measures were adopted to keep the spot of accident safe.
Earlier on February 25, 2025, three people died and several others were injured when a passenger bus crashed near Ghazi Interchange on Motorway M-1.
According to report, Motorway police shifted the injured to THQ Hospital Hassanabdal.
According to Motorway police a total of eight passengers and two crew members were on board the bus when it crashed.
Meanwhile, six members of the same family in the car were seriously injured in a collision between a trawler and a car on National Highway in Nawabshah on Tuesday.
According to sources, efforts are underway to cut the body of the car to extract the people trapped in the car.
Two men, two women and two children are among the injured.
Motorway police have not yet reached the accident site, local people are busy with their own help in the rescue operation.
