The law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) have broken the back of dacoits in the katcha area of Ubauro as the operation against the outlaws entered 12th day on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that the police and Rangers had been able to clear 60 per cent area, forcing the dacoits to leave their hideouts and fled.
On the other hand, the spokesman for the police said that several hideouts of dacoits had been destroyed and the writ of the state had been restored in a grand operation led by DIG Nasir Aftab Pathan in which several SSPs were participating.
He added that the law and order situation in the katcha area had started improving.
Meanwhile, Khairpur Police have started to tighten screws around the facilitators of dacoits of the katcha area.
Acting on an intelligence-based information, police have arrested a doctor named Muhammad Abid Solangi who had treated several dacoits and acted as their facilitator by providing them weapons.
SSP Khairpur Dr. Samiullah Soomro said that the doctor was being questioned.
