The government of Punjab has decided to increase the number of CCTV cameras in Lahore for the security of the VVIPs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that it had been decided to install cameras at important points in the provincial capital.
In this connection, Security Division Lahore, which looks after the security arrangements of Punjab chief minister, judges and other VVIPs, has requested for the provision of funds in order to increase the number of cameras, while the home department has sent the summary for the project to the provincial capital.
Sources informed that a proposal had been made to allocate Rs10.60 million for the project.
