Finally, former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) determined leader Ali Muhammad Khan has been released from jail after his eight times arrests in 78 days.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Ali Muhammad Khan was released from Mardan jail on Thursday.
He was arrested on the Orders issued by the district commissioner under 3 MPO last Tuesday, July 25 but today Peshawar High Court (PHC) cancelled these orders and released him.
Interestingly, shortly after a sessions court ordered his release on July 25, PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan was re-arrested in Mardan for the eighth time since protests took place in the wake of party chief Imran Khan’s arrest on May 9.
On July 25, earlier in the day, the District and Sessions Court of Mardan granted bail to PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan and ordered his release.
Judge Mulla Wazir heard the bail application of former state minister Ali Muhammad Khan. Nadeem Shah Advocate appeared on behalf of Ali Muhammad Khan in the court.
Mardan Sessions Court ordered the PTI leader’s release in the corruption case and instructed authorities to set him free if he was not implicated in any other case.
The court, passing judgment on the arguments of Ali’s counsel, accepted the bail application of the accused and ordered him to submit two surety bonds of Rs 2 lakh each.
A team of lawyers reached the jail for the release of the PTI leader. However, Ali Muhammad Khan was arrested soon after his release under Maintenance of Public Order (MPO). Orders were issued by the district commissioner. He was arrested first time on May 11 after the incident of May 9.
