The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief’s court transfer request in six cases, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

IHC CJ Amir Farooq rejected the request while announcing the reserved verdict.

The court also rejected the request by Bushra Bibi in a forgery case.

The ex-PM made the court transfer request in the cases including May 9 incidents.

The PTI activists took to the streets to vent their spleen on the arrest of the party chief in a corruption case on May 9.

They damaged public property, state assets and sensitive installations.

The angry protesters stormed GHQ in Rawalpindi, Jinnah House in Lahore and Radio Pakistan in Peshawar.

The riots claimed the lives of innocent people and left a trail of destruction, prompting many PTI office-bearers to part ways with the former prime minister.
