The Consulate General of Germany in Karachi has announced the immediate suspension of all services for non-European Union (EU) citizens until further notice.
In an official statement, the consulate confirmed that this temporary halt affects all non-EU applicants, including those with confirmed visa appointments. All existing appointments have been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
Affected individuals are advised to re-register via the consulate’s online appointment system once services resume. The consulate stated that further updates will be provided as the situation evolves and expressed gratitude for the public’s understanding during this period of disruption.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, the Swedish government resumed visa services in Islamabad, allowing Pakistani citizens to apply for short-term visits to Sweden.
Additionally, in June, the U.S. consulates in Karachi and Lahore introduced a new policy requiring applicants for F, M, and J non-immigrant visas to make their social media accounts public.
