Mustafa Kamal chairs DRAP meeting to review digitalization of medical devices

Federal Minister for National Health Services, Syed Mustafa Kamal chaired a high-level meeting of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) to review and ignite the digitalization of medical devices. 

During the meeting, Health Minister said that the government would take steps to ensure transparency, faster processing, and the restoration of public trust. 

He directed that the medical device licensing process should have been completed within 20 days. Minister Kamal reviewed the digitalization of medical devices and discussed recent initiatives, industry feedback, and challenges. He emphasized that the public should be informed about the system and educated on how to use it. He also stressed that people must become familiar with the new system to benefit from the available facilities. 

Mustafa Kamal assured that the promises made to the public would be fulfilled. He stated that there should be no human contact within DRAP to promote merit and transparency. He further said that DRAP must increase its human resources and technical support. He emphasized that all resources will be used to make the digitalization project a success.
