The Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) have signed a memorandum of understanding to integrate their degree verification systems and establish Pakistan’s first nationally verified digital talent pool.

HEC Chairman Dr Niaz Ahmed and PSEB Chief Executive Officer Faisal Jadi signed the agreement.

Under the initiative, the academic credentials of graduates and information technology professionals will be digitally verified, allowing employers and institutions to confirm qualifications through an integrated system.

Officials said the unified verification mechanism would improve transparency, strengthen trust in Pakistan’s digital workforce and reduce delays in checking academic credentials.

The initiative is also expected to improve access to employment opportunities for Pakistani IT professionals in domestic and international markets by providing employers with verified information about candidates’ qualifications and skills.

The agreement will further strengthen the Digital Pakistan vision by improving coordination between higher education institutions and the technology industry.
